Testimonials

Rachelle Robinett, Herbalist & Founder of SupernaturaL:

“I met Kate many years ago and immediately loved working with her, as colleagues at the time, which led to friendship and then to her supporting my company as it grew into more content and marketing. It's a daily pleasure to have Kate on our team. From her organization, punctuality, and attention to detail — to the thoughtfulness and courtesy with which she treats not only others, but also our community, and the work. I trust her with our communications, and to always keep in mind what's best for the whole. Her touch is consistently poetic, efficient, and considered.”

Nicholas Adamski, Creative Director Poetry Society of NY:

“Kate is impressive. I met her while standing on top of a ladder in the rare books room of the Strand Bookstore in Union Square. We were putting on a show there. I was cutting and hanging fabric from whatever I could attach it to on the ceiling, Kate said she was there to help and I handed her the scissors. Since then she has become a trusted friend and a person I often look to for guidance and advice. She has the unique ability to see things clearly and understand what's at the core of the erratic creative flux I'm trying to unpack from my own mind before I can. Kate sees the steps; the challenges and the opportunities. I like to imagine her looking at the creative landscape of a project the way Wayne Gretzky must have been able to see the whole ice rink on a perfect breakaway. If I was headed to outer space to explore other worlds, to create culture to share with them, and try to be exemplary humans our whole planet could be proud of, I'd invite Kate.”

Claire Crookston, UX Designer :

“Kate is one of the most inspirational and authentic creatives I've had the pleasure to work with over my career. She is highly collaborative, open to new ideas, and always manages to stay true to herself and the story she is telling. Her willingness to be an infinite student, while still presenting excellent managerial skills makes her a great asset to any team.”

Kristin Lisenby, Writer, Co-Host of Magick & Alchemy :

Anyone with interest in poetry, plants, and the occult will fall in love with Kate and the stories she tells. I’ve been fortunate to work with Kate, but more importantly, to learn from her thanks to our collaborations at The Alchemist’s Kitchen and Tamed Wild Apothecary. I value her expertise, her passion, and her vision for the future of plant medicine and plant magick.”

Matt Jongbloet, UX Designer:

“Working with Kate at The Alchemist's Kitchen has been an absolute pleasure. She seamlessly blends together strategy, creativity, and content, producing not only compelling narratives to connect with our audience but also tangible results. She has been a pillar of our team and community. Kate is a kind, supportive and driven individual. I am grateful to know her as a fellow human, plant-lover, and friend.”

Benjamin Bagocius, Ph.D, Educator.:

The students at Bard High School Early College in Cleveland, Ohio, will never forget Kate's visit. She ran two literature classes on Shakespeare's Macbeth for us as guest poet and teacher over Zoom. In particular, students were fascinated with Macbeth's Witches, and Kate planned and delivered sessions for students to think and write more deeply with Shakespeare about poetry and spellwork. Kate's incredibly structured yet open-ended lessons readied students, most of whom do not identify as poets, to write poems about their discoveries by the end of class. With her organized yet daring imagination, Kate's lessons opened students to conversations about masks and expression, poetry and invocation, childhood and vocation, the beauty of shadows, the quiet power of dirt, art, gratitude, solitude, community, siblings, and wonder. Kate has a gift for creating space for students to share their ideas without fearing criticism or judgment. Kate modeled a rare style of teaching and leadership -- the witness -- the one who unfurls space for people's dreams to open. My students will never forget Kate's visit and the ways her lessons guided students deeper into Macbeth and their own hearts.

When we opened The Alchemist’s Kitchen store in 2016, Kate Belew was one of our first hires. In her artful, capable hands, our social media feeds helped create the community feel that set us apart from other retailers. As Alchemist's Kitchen expanded e-commerce, Kate coordinated the campaigns, weaving together social media, blog posts, and online events, driving sales growth. Reliable, organized, insightful, and always to the point, Kate would be an asset to any marketing operation. - Ken Jordan, Co-Founder, Alchemist's Kitchen.
